Card class leftovers

Got some crafting time today and while deciding what to do I came across some leftovers from a brayering class we did at our crafting group earlier in the year, below is what I created, 2 simple scrapbook pages and 1 simple card and I still have a full piece of paper and a few bits left! The 1st is based on catiecuddles page of the month, the first one I've got round to doing for a while. The photo's were taken 2 years ago when we had a long and fab weekend in Lisbon with my sister and family when they were over on a holiday from New Zealand.

G45 A Place in Time

Today I was torn between going to the gym or having a crafty afternoon, as I've done quite a bit of the first this week and none of the second crafting deservedly won. I decided I had better finish a mini album from a class I did at Lady Hayes a couple of weeks ago using the Graphic 45 papers  'A Place in Time' . I love G45 and am always looking on their website, they have some fab things on there and obviously have creative and imaginative people on the team, wish I had a tiny bit of their talent to come up with the fantastic stuff they do. Anyway here is my virtually finished article, just a couple of blips to sort out and then to decide what to use it for.

Brayering

Well tonight I had another go at brayering after checking out some you tube clips, mmm they make it look so easy so why didn't' I get the perfect result? Firstly I used Distress Inks which do not do the job as well so I think I'll be definitely ordering some more Stampin Up pads as the result is so much better probably because they are smoother than the Distress Inks and also fit the brayer. Anyway here are my creations, both use the same stamp set Serene Silhouette from Stampin Up.

That's it for today, hope to see you soon x

Sunday part 2

A couple of cards, the first one was using the new gorgeous Stampin up tulip frame, thought I'd give brayering another go, as you can see if you look closely it's not perfect so will have to give it some more practice at a later date. The 2nd one is another card using Swallowtail, again I'm not vey happy with the end result but at least I've had a play & enjoyed some crafty time today.

Sunday Craft

So today I have finally got around to some crafting :-)
Firstly I found a 'page of the month' that I hadn't finished from last years project so I thought I had better get that done, I did change the theme as I utilised some photos I had already printed out, as you can see not quite finished as I still need another pic, when that sun comes out long enough to get the bar-b on again I'll take one to fill the gap.

After a crafting night at Catherine's (www.catiecuddles.wordpress.com) I had to buy this gorgeous stamp despite being adamant before hand I wasn't going to! What can I say I love it & here is a few cards I've made using the embossing technique we did on the night, cards using the other techniques will hopefully follow soon.

Swallowtail

My introduction to Swallotail - before attending a night at Catherines www.catiecuddles,wordpress.com I was adamant I wasn't buying this stamp but Catherine showed us some great techniques and I quickly changed my mind and put an order in! What can I say but I absolutely love it one of my fave stamps definitely and I have managed to have a play this week, here are a few cards using one of the techniques we did on the night, embossing onto patterned paper.
